Like the Audio Triax cable, our Digital Triax is a completely new design, and unique on the world market in its overall design and construction. Its complex double coaxial lay-out with an inner conductor and two outer woven screens offers the maximum possible protection from external stray fields, and at the same time very effectively prevents the cable itself radiating electro-magnetic interference. The cable’s impedance is 75 Ohm, making it a perfect match for digital and aerial connections alike. Digital Triax cable can also be used for audio inter-connects. Accurate impedance matching is very important, as extreme interference and jitter effects can result from mis-matched connections. 

The cable’s ultra-low capacitance of just 60 pF also makes it suitable for quite long cable connections. The influence of digital connections on the overall sound quality is often under-estimated, and in practice the cable’s effect is of a similar magnitude to normal audio connections. The characteristic features of Digital Triax are an extremely homogeneous, natural and free-sounding image, free of colorations, and very precise and powerful. The cable’s complex construction is based on the finest available insulators and conductors, resulting in excellent measured data and superb sound characteristics. The centre conductor consists of 39 copper and copper/silver strands surrounded by a foamed PUR insulator, followed by an inner conductor consisting of 128 strands of woven copper and copper/silver wires, with PE insulation around them. The outer woven braid consists of 144 copper and copper/silver strands. A high-density external PVC sheath completes the specification. The outside diameter of the coaxial cable is 8 mm
